the hybrid fuels…
fixierbar. Und da Sindelfingen die größte Mercedes Benz Produktionsstätte
für PKWs weltweit
ist, stellen Entwickler einen Hybridmotor vor. mehr...

the hybrid fuels…
suddenly this insight
An investigation into the hybridisation of contemporary culture. While reading
the Indian Times, I came upon the title of the exhibition: ‘the
hybrid fuels’ and suddenly noticed that the term Hybrid
is not just a slogan created by the car industry – it is omnipresent in
daily life in different disciplines and contexts.
The concept of the exhibition is based on
our understanding that hybridisation is a process whereby different identities/individualities
come together to fuel technical / cultural / artistic outcomes. This turns
the understanding of “Hybrid – Living in Paradox” (‘Ars
Electronica’, 2005) into a challenging process. The crucial point seems
to be that cultural/artistic identity is increasingly a hybrid product. The
exhibition will show works by renowned artists from different cultures and
spheres. And as Sindelfingen houses the largest production plant of Mercedes
Benz in the world, a model of a hybrid engine is shown by its developers.more...
